Crysis is seen by many as the poster boy for DirectX 10 and it will make your system cry, quite literally – it’s a monster! It doesn’t come as much of a surprise then that the graphics are something special – at the time of release they were above and beyond anything we’d ever seen in a PC game.

We used the latest 1.21 patch and range the game in 64-bit and DirectX 10 mode in a custom level run through.

The performance of the B3 Phenoms has significantly improved (well, a few FPS) over the previous B2 Phenoms, but it still isn't the end all answer for the "monster" that is Crysis which appears to need clock speed over spare cores. The red turbo mode edges out over the yellow turbo mode, however only by a negligible amount.

With that said though, all of the B3 Phenoms are left behind by the Q6600 in both high and low resolution scenarios.
